You’ll be within walking distance of Andrássy Avenue, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you can shop, dine, or simply stroll and soak in the beauty of the city.
Getting around is super easy! Nyugati Railway Station and Oktogon Square are both nearby, so whether you're hopping on a tram or a metro, you'll be well-connected to the rest of Budapest. If you're a history lover, the House of Terror Museum is just around the corner, offering a deep dive into Hungary’s fascinating past.
For a relaxing day out, take a short trip to Heroes' Square and City Park, or indulge in the famous Széchenyi Thermal Baths—a must-visit for every traveler. And when you're ready to unwind, our neighborhood is filled with cozy cafés, great restaurants, and trendy bars where you can experience the local flavor.

Getting aroundWelcome to Budapest! Here’s everything you need to know to navigate the city like a local from our conveniently located apartment:
A. Public Transportation:
Budapest’s public transport system is fantastic and easy to use. From our apartment, you’ll have quick access to metro lines, trams, and buses.
1. Metro: The closest metro station is Oktogon (M1 line), just a 5-7 minute walk away. This is one of the oldest metro lines in Europe and takes you to key spots like Heroes’ Square and Vörösmarty Square in the city center.
2. Tram: The iconic Tram 4 and 6 lines run 24/7 and stop at Nyugati Railway Station, which is only a 10-minute walk from the apartment. These trams loop around central Budapest and are a great way to see the city while getting from A to B.
3. Bus: Several buses stop nearby, but the most convenient is the 105 Bus from Oktogon, which takes you directly to the Buda Castle area and Deák Ferenc Square, the main transportation hub.
4. Taxis and Rideshares:
Bolt and Főtaxi are the most reliable taxi services in Budapest. You can hail a cab via their apps, or find taxis at designated taxi stands around the city. Make sure the taxi has an official logo, and always check that the meter is on.
6. Rideshares: Download the Bolt app (similar to Uber) to easily request a ride. It’s fast, affordable, and widely used in Budapest.
B. Walking:
Our apartment is centrally located, so you can easily explore many attractions on foot:
1. Andrássy Avenue: A few minutes’ walk away, this beautiful boulevard is perfect for strolling. Along the way, you’ll find luxury shops, cafés, and cultural landmarks.
2. Oktogon Square: A major intersection nearby with plenty of dining options and access to public transport.
3. Heroes’ Square & City Park: A 20-minute walk down Andrássy Avenue brings you to this iconic Budapest landmark and the peaceful City Park.
C. Cycling:
Budapest is becoming more bike-friendly, and you can use the MOL Bubi bike-sharing system. There’s a docking station near Nyugati Station. Just download the MOL Bubi app, and you can rent a bike to cycle around the city. It’s a fun and green way to explore!
D. Train:
If you plan to explore outside of Budapest, the Nyugati Railway Station is only 10 minutes away on foot. From here, you can catch trains to nearby towns or even other countries.
E. Budapest Card:
We highly recommend the Budapest Card for a convenient and cost-effective way to explore the city! With this card, you get:
