Neighborhood overview
Quite simply one of the best location in Budapest, in the absolute center at the famous Vaci walking street, steps from the river Danube. Given its history, it has the highest concentration of sights in Budapest and also the scenery and the architecture are just amazing around. Most buildings are over 100 years old yet kept in very good condition. The area is also home to the best in dining and entertainment that Budapest can offer.

To give you a short introduction here is the walking distance of a few of the biggest attractions of Budapest:

River Danube - 0 minutes
Vorosmarty square - 1 minute
Erzsebet Square and Deak Square - 5 minutes
Dohany Street Synagogue - 8 minutes
St. Stephen Basilica - 10 minutes
Parliament - 17 minutes (or 10 minutes taking tram 2 that has a stop almost at the apartment building)
Buda Castle (including the National Gallery, Budapest Historic Museum, Mathias Church and the Fishermen's Bastion) - 15 minutes
Andrassy Boulevard and the Opera Building - 15 minutes
National Museum - 15 minutes

The neighborhood has excellent public transportation connections as well.
Tram 2 that goes along the bank of the Danube and has a stop almost right at the apartment can take you to many famous sight and architecture even faster than you would get there on walk.
The historic subway, metro line 1 also has a stop within steps from the apartment on Vorosmarty square.
Deak Square that is a major transportation hub and has stops for three metro lines is 5 minutes walk from the apartment.
Getting around
