Neighborhood overviewThis is a true rarity: the apartment is actually in the Buda Castle area, one of the most prominent landmarks in Budapest. As such, the Castle, the famous Fishermen's Bastion, and the St. Mathias Church are at your doorstep, along with truly the most amazing vistas to Budapest, a 360-degree view. The whole area is like a walk in history among well-preserved historical buildings and scores dating from the medieval period. You can find such unique sights in the neighborhood, as well as the Medieval Era synagogue, still operating today. You can spend a whole holiday just in the area and never get bored.
However, if you want to venture into the historical center on the Pest side with the rest of the biggest monuments of Budapest, then you can get there with a 15-minute bus ride or a half-hour walk through the newly renovated Chain Bridge. Therefore the Parliament, the St. Stephen Basilica, the Dohany Street Grand Synagogue (Europe's biggest), and so on, are super nearby too.
Getting aroundJust hop on the bus, and you are also in the center of the historical Pest Side. Alternatively, use the Buda Castle Funicular, sliding up and down the side of Castle Hill and experience spectacular city views.
